Spanish,
Mrs. Yolanda Curtis

Hola! Me llamo Yolanda Curtis and I am very excited to be teaching Spanish at Christian Center School again this year. I was born and raised in Paraguay where I received an Elementary School Teaching degree. I also have an Associate degree in Human Service (Child Development). This past Summer I received a Proficiency in the Spanish Language for Business.

I taught elementary school for a few years before coming to the United States. I worked for a few years in a daycare center for refugee children from Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos in Lansing, Michigan. I also worked for the State department in the American Embassy while living in Santiago , Chile and The American Consulate in Milan Italy.

I have been married to an American Diplomat for several years and we traveled all over the world seeing God's wonders. We were blessed to have lived in Argentina, Chile, Austria, Italy and Paraguay. Through my travels I learned many languages in addition to my native Spanish and Guarani, including Italian and some German.

God blessed me with a beautiful daughter who is a recent graduate of American University, and she also attended Christian Center School in her youth. I grew up in a Christian family and have always known Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I attend Christian Center Ministries.

I am looking forward to being a part of your children's education again this year and trust God will guide us to do our very best.
